about
Crafted in the pre-Logic era, ‘sliding’ bears witness to my experimental journey as a musician. Embracing the simplicity of GarageBand, I revelled in its limitations—a deliberate choice that fuelled my exploration of unconventional techniques.
In the creation of 'sliding,' I ventured beyond the confines of traditional timing, using tempo as a tool to reshape GarageBand instruments.
Reflecting on the essence of the track, the auditory landscape of 'sliding' transports me to a moment of walking in the midst of a harsh wind.
Battling to push the hair off my face and keep my dress down. Seeing trees almost uproot themselves in the powerful gusts and like an unpredictable wind, we have these untamed deep emotions the stir our
lungs out of control. ‘sliding’ is a visceral experience, capturing the essence of intense, erratic emotions, much like the forces of nature encountered in that memorable walk.

Created on GarageBand, this track weaves together two key components—a deep, brooding synth pad and a buzzing electric synth lead. The synth pad sets a hypnotic rhythm, slowed down to 5bpm, stretching the song to nearly 9 minutes. Its waves create a tidal push and pull, submerging the listener. In contrast, the electric synth lead subtly pierces through, adding an otherworldly touch. Despite the 5bpm tempo, the track follows its own rhythm, mimicking the ebb and flow of a breathing lung, making for an immersive and mesmerizing sonic journey.
