As a kid, I used to go to the summerhouse at my mum's lonely village, in rural Lleida. At the height of the summer, when life at our small coastal village became too busy with tourists, too humid, too hot, the house at the lonely country village would become our haven.

At the village my parents had the opportunity to chill, read, do walks, and let the children (us) run wild in a safe environment. I would spend the day exploring the big house, playing with my cousins (there was 20 of us, all living in different villages and cities in the area, with at least a handful of them staying at the big summer house), or riding our bicycles in the village. Summer friendships and alliances would be formed.

Discoveries would be made. Life in the country would be so different to life in the coast. I think that this contrast between the beach and the country, the sea and the hinterland shaped my personality as a growing young person, and as a writer, where my identity has never been understood as something solid to be found out / expressed / celebrated, but rather as something fluid and shifting, to be developed as an ongoing dialogue, enjoyed as a constant work-in-progress, expanded by breathing air into it, discovered by engaging in different environments and with different peoples.

The song presents those ideas about the past from a present standpoint and tries to build a bridge between the other (the peoples from the village) and the self (the familiar parts of the self), but also with care for those parts that remain as yet unexplored: for the things we did, and also for the things we didn't but might do.
