Led by musician and composer James Lees, the dreamlike, atmospheric music of Ghostwoods gradually blinked into existence
over the lockdown winter of 2020.
The cold and gloomy environs of Lees' mountain abode make for a dark, atmospheric winter. The simultaneous qualities of the natural beauty and a sinister sense of underlying hostility very much influenced the music that was created.

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this.

Swiss experimental Music Duo. This is very dark as well as being very experimental. It took me a while to appreciate it. But, once you have given it time (please do, it really pays off!), it all fits together very well & is very consistent. The music frightens me slightly, it creates this oppressive atmosphere full of doom & foreboding in a way that I had never experienced before! Thanks MPR! Recommended!
